Joe Henner Motorsports Flywheel advance key
This key has been used on many motorcycles uptill now . Its just that it is now available for the Kove. The key advances the ignition by 4 degrees and gives a boost in performance especially in the low and mid range. It also smooths out the engine further. This key was created and extensively tested by the Joe Henner who is the main mechanic at Kove USA .
Flywheel puller required is right hand thread M28 P1.0 internal thread. GPX do not sell them but they are widely available. Search facebook GPX pages for fitting instructions.

You may also decide to fit a new gasket and we may have that in stock right now, or you could reapply the original gasket on its own or using gasket sealant.

Apart from re flashing the standard map ,all of these maps are supplied on a new ECU.
1.We have the USA decat map which is designed for the decat setup and a standard silencer. It also adds power and significant smoothness to the completely standard exhaust setup. Throttle response is noticeably much faster We've received very positive feedback from a number of people. It's a genuinely great addition to a completely standard bike or a decat set up.(£109.50)
2. We have the Pro factory map which many people enjoy and which gives a widespread of power and that top end hit.(£109.50)
3. We have the USA 230.1 map which increases bottom and mid-range power . makes the power smoother and increases the top end hit significantly. All of this has been confirmed by customers that we have spoken to as recently as today.(£109.50)
4 We have the standard 1.4 factory map for reflashing to any ECU (£40 Inc post)
It goes without saying that were ready to reflash customers ECU's at any time with the latest factory maps.
If owners want to go down the performance map route then they will only have to EVER buy 1 (£109.50 ECU from Kove dealers or ourselves. This means that that they can chop and change their maps to find the one most suitable for their set up. There is simply a 7 pound reflashing cost to cover postage.
We've done this because weve seeing a few people spend a fair amount of money buying different performance ecu's from all around the world and then being a little bit disappointed when they've received them and been out for a ride. It's impossible for customers to make a fully educated view on how a map will feel for them when they're buying it online . Our new ECU system is designed to give people flexibility and the ability to experiment without the extra cost.
This is a system that keeps the money in your pocket. I know that's contrary to a business mentality but we think there moral obligation in offering ECU's with invisible maps without taking advantage.
So looking forward there's no longer any reason to be buying expensive ECU's on a wing and a prayer that the one map installed will satisfy you.

UK Owner review received 04/11/24. This owner has had his rally 1 year and is very experienced riding technical rocky trails and paths. Therefore this reviews this map in slow technical going not simply with the throttle wide open .
I have just got off the phone with a guy in the Isle of Man who has the pro system on his bike and is his review in his words .
He said that he wanted this map to make his bike smoother off the bottom idle . He stated that map makes his bike significantly smoother right off the bottom. Any sudden power is gone. He rides very technical going up rock gully where he's constantly on and off the throttle and he needed it smoother and with this map he has got it.
He said that the power delivery is linear up to 6,000 RPM and then it lights up on fire . More power at the top smoother on and off the throttle a lot better.

Thanks James for the quick postage on my ECU, it arrived today and I fitted it this afternoon...
Impressions.....1st off, it started on the button and the tick over was smooth with no engine surge (Coober would rev to 3000rpm then drop to 2000rpm...hot or cold)
Only problem was after a couple of minutes of tick over, engine flamed out, but started up straight away...this happened another 3 times and then brought up the engine management light...
I took the bike for a short ride and WOW there is a big, big improvement...
far better at low rpm and much smoother in the 4-5500rpm range.
After a short ride, I would strongly recommend anyone to try it...
This ecu is what I expected from the Coober( it didn't deliver on that)
You have supplied a super product at less then half the price of the Coober.

Kove UK note- The Engine management light has been triggered by a rich mixture being detected by the exhaust lamda sensor. It can be turned off using a £8 obd sensor

If you have either fitted a decat mid exhaust or removed your cat and are running the standard ECU your engine will be running far too lean. Your engine running lean means it is running hot. running hot risks hugely increased wear to your engine especially the valves. Ignore this at your peril.
This is just basic mechanics and not specific to the Kove.
If you have removed the cat from your exhaust we highly would recommend that you change your map. This map has been specifically designed to run with no cat . Its a richer map . Its uses a little more fuel which cools your engine and gets the heat back down to where it should be.

REMEMBER - Gripper tyres are soft ,pliable and flexible. Our knobbles move. So when you are choose which colour stripe to go for , this is my recommendation from an Enduro racer. Remember , we race and we know our tyres and mousses well .
GREEN STRIPE FRONT IS A SOFT TYRE FOR HARD ENDURO AND OFF ROAD COMPETITION USE . Youll be pleased you chose Green for HARD ENDURO competition or rocks when you cannot compromise at all and grip means everything !. These green compound tyres cling on like nothing else.
RED STRIPE IS FOR GREEN LANING / GENERAL USE / GENERAL ENDURO .
